Meet Dr. Karen D. Green the founder and executive director of Shifted Atmosphere Ministries and Shifted Atmosphere Ministries Resiliency Partners both being 501(c)(3) organizations. Pastor Karen D. McGirt Green holds an Associates Degree in Psychology in Christian Counseling from Liberty University. Pastor Green graduated Cum Laude from Johnson C Smith University, May of 2023 with a Bachelors in Social work and has also been inducted into two Honor Societies Alpha Sigma Lambda and Phi Alpha Society for Social Workers. Pastor Green is also obtaining Certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor. Pastor Green was featured in the Charlotte Observer and News Break for her accomplishments. Pastor Green has birthed a Food Distribution Ministry to address food insecurities in the Beatties Ford Road corridor community in West Charlotte. As you can see, ministry is deeply embedded  in her heart, even in the marketplace.  She has worked in the Mental Health field for over 15 yrs throughout Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas in multiple roles such as Administrative Assistant and Direct Support Professional. Pastor Green has been in ministry at different capacities as a Choir Director, Praise & Worship Leader and Psalmist since the age of 18 years old however for the last 3 years the Lord has called her to Preach the Gospel to the nations!! Pastor Green has also been given the responsibility outside of the 4 walls of the church to support the population of recovering addicts who struggle with substance abuse disorders; displaced teen mothers; and to create an outlet for teen to adolescent young women and young men to be heard and supported.
